Why Does Your Dog Follow You Everywhere?
Following you from room to room can be a normal sign of companionship, curiosity, or a hope for food or play. The important question is how your dog behaves when you are apart.

If your cat suddenly starts toileting outside the litter box, they are not taking “revenge” on you. Urinary or digestive problems could be involved, but an unsettling litter box location can also lead a cat to hold it in or look for somewhere else.
Start with a quiet spot that is easy to reach. Doorways, busy corridors, areas beside a washing machine and places with sudden loud noises can make a cat feel unsafe. The box shouldn't be hidden somewhere that is difficult to reach, especially for kittens, senior cats or cats with limited mobility. Make sure they can access it easily at all times.
Second, place the litter box away from food and water. Cats usually prefer not to eliminate near where they eat, and keeping these areas separate also supports better hygiene.
Third, avoid corners with no easy escape route. If a cat worries that another pet could block the exit, they may stop using the box. In a multi-cat home, spread litter boxes across different locations instead of placing them side by side. A common guideline is one box per cat, plus one extra, adjusted to suit your home and each cat's habits.
Call your vet as soon as possible if your cat suddenly changes their toileting habits, keeps going in and out of the litter box, struggles to urinate or cries in pain.
